IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Warning To avoid the danger of fire To avoid the possibility of injury 1. Do not operate the oven if it is damaged or malfunctioning. Check the following before use. (1) The door (not warped) (2) The hinges and safety door latches (not broken or loose) (3) The door seals and sealing surfaces (4) The oven cavity (not dented) (5) The power supply cord or plug 2. Do not try to adjust or repair the oven by yourself because of hazard.
To avoid the possibility of explosion and sudden boiling 1. Never use sealed containers. Remove seals and lids before use. Sealed containers can explode due to a build up of pressure even after the oven has been turned off. 2. When boiling water or other liquids, use a widemouthed container to allow bubbles to escape. It is advisable to insert a glass rod or other similar utensil to prevent sudden boiling (resulting in splashing or burning). 3. Do not cook eggs in their shells. They may explode.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Rem ove all packing m aterials from the oven cavity, (do not rem ove the w aveguide cover, item 11 on page 4), and the feature sticker from the outside of the door, if there is one. Check the unit for any dam age such as a m isaligned door, dam aged door seals around the door or dents inside the oven cavity or on the door. If there is any dam age, please do not operate the oven until it has been checked by a SERVICE CENTRE APPROVED BY SHARP and repaired, if necessary. 2.

Before Operating * This oven is preset w ith the OPERATION GUIDE in English. To assist you in program m ing your oven, the operation guide w ill appear in the display. In this m anual, the display of operation guide is abbreviated. * You can get operation guide in English, M alay or Russian. To change the language, see page E-42. Getting Started Step Procedure 1 Plug the oven into a pow er point. 2 Close the oven door. 3 Pad Order Display as above Press the STOP/CLEAR pad so that the oven beeps.
Clock Setting * To enter the present tim e of day 11:34 (AM or PM ). Step Procedure Pad Order Display Press the CLOCK pad once. 1 The dots (:) w ill flash on and off. 2 Enter the correct tim e of day by pressing the num bers in sequence. 1 1 3 4 Press the CLOCK pad again. 3 w ill appear This is a 12-hour clock. If you attem pt to enter an incorrect clock tim e (Ex. 13:45), in the display. Press the STOP/CLEAR pad and re-enter the tim e of day (Ex. 1:45).
M ANUAL OPERATIONS Microwave Cooking Techniques Arrange food carefully Place thickest areas tow ard outside of dish. Watch cooking time Cook for the shortest am ount of tim e indicated and add m ore tim e as needed. Food severely overcooked can sm oke or ignite. Cover foods before cooking Check recipe for suggestions: paper tow els, m icrow ave plastic w rap or a lid. Covers prevent spattering and help foods to cook evenly.
Microwave Time Cooking This is a m anual cooking feature, first enter the cooking tim e then the pow er level. You can program m e up to 99 m inutes, 99 seconds. There are five different pow er levels.
Sequence Cooking Your oven can be program m ed for up to 4 autom atic cooking sequences, sw itching from one variable pow er setting to another autom atically. Note that POWER LEVEL m ust be entered first w hen program m ing sequence cooking. * Suppose you w ant to cook for 10 m inutes on 50% (M EDIUM pow er) follow ed by 5 m inutes on 100% (HIGH pow er). Step Procedure 1 Select desired pow er level by pressing the POWER LEVEL pad (for 50% press three tim es). Enter desired cooking tim e.
Slow Cook The SLOW COOK setting is designed for foods w hich cook longer tim e. For exam ple, stew ing, braising, boiling soup or Chinese desserts of liquid type. The SLOW COOK setting provides tw o choices: SLOW COOK HIGH or SLOW COOK LOW. The m axim um cooking tim e is 2 hours for each choice w hen cook m anually. To select SLOW COOK HIGH, press the SLOW COOK pad once. To select SLOW COOK LOW, press the SLOW COOK pad tw ice. * Suppose you w ant to cook stew chicken on SLOW COOK HIGH for 1 hour 30 m in.
Preheating For best results of Convection and Convection M ix cooking, preheat to the required tem perature in the oven. Add food after preheating. * To preheat the oven to 200°C Step Procedure 1 Select preheating tem perature by pressing the PREHEAT pad as required (for 200°C press four tim es). 2 3 Pad Order Display COOK x4 COOK w ill flash on and off. Convection Cooking Your oven has 10 preset convection tem peratures (250, 230, 220, 200, 180, 160, 130, 100, 70 and 40°C). When you press the CONVEC pad once, 250°C w ill be selected. To low er the tem perature, press the CONVEC pad until the desired tem perature appears in the display. (2) To Preheat and Cook by Convection * Suppose you w ant to preheat the oven to 200°C then cook for 20 m inutes at 200°C. If you w ant to change convection tem perature, press the convec pad until the desired tem perature appears in the display. Enter desired cooking tim e.
CONVECTION RECIPES Moist Carrot Cake (make 1 cake) [ Ingredients ] (A) 250ml oil 250g brown sugar 3 eggs (Medium) (B) 210g self-raising flour 1 tsp. bicarbonate of soda 2 tsp. cinnamon few salt (C) 200g carrots (grated) 60g walnuts (chopped) 80g pineapple (crunch & drain) [ Method ] 1. Preheat oven to 180˚C. 2. Beat ingredient (A) until well combined. 3. Add ingredient (B). 4. Fold in ingredient (C). 5. Pour into greased 20 cm round cake tin. 6. Place on Low Rack.
Grill Cooking Your oven has three grill cooking m odes. Select the desired grill m ode by pressing the GRILL pad. For the top heater m ode, press the GRILL pad once. For the bottom heater m ode, press the GRILL pad tw ice. For the double grill m ode (top and bottom heaters), press the GRILL pad three tim es. It is not necessary to preheat for grill cooking. * Suppose you w ant to cook 1.0 kg of steak for 20 m inutes using the double grill m ode.
Mix Cooking (1) To cook by Mix Cooking Your oven has four preprogram m ed settings that m ake it easy to cook w ith convection and m icrow ave or the top grill heater and m icrow ave. Select the desired m ix setting by pressing the M IX pad. You cannot change the m icrow ave pow er level.
(2) To Preheat and Cook with Mix (Convection) * Suppose you w ant to preheat the oven to 250°C and cook for 20 m inutes on Convec M ix High. GRILL AND MIX RECIPES Chicken Satay [ Ingredients ] 4 wooden skewers 450g chicken fillets (cubed) [ Seasonings ] 1 tbsp. groundnut oil 1 tbsp. lemon juice 2 tbsp. satay sauce 1 clove garlic (crushed) Tabasco sauce to taste [ Method ] 1. Place all the seasonings in a large bowl, mix well. Stir in the chicken, refrigerate for 2 hours to marinate. 2. Thread the chicken onto skewers leaving no wood exposed. Easy Defrost The Easy Defrost feature allow s you to defrost m eats by entering w eight. * Suppose you w ant to defrost 1.0 kg of Chicken Pieces. Easy Defrost Menu Guide M ENU WEIGHT (KG) PROCEDURE Steaks Chops 0.1 - 2.0 kg • Shield thin end of chops or steaks w ith foil. • Position the food w ith thinner parts in the centre in a single layer on the defrost rack. If pieces are stuck together, try to separate as soon as possible. • When oven has stopped, rem ove defrosted pieces, turn over and shield the w arm portions. • Press start to continue defrosting. • After defrost tim e, stand covered w ith alum inium foil for 5-30 m inutes.

(2) Child Lock If the oven is accidentally started w ith no food or liquid in the cavity, the life of the oven can be reduced. Less/More Setting To adjust the cooking tim e to your individual preference -use the "m ore" or "less" feature to either add (m ore) or reduce (less) cooking tim e. The LESS/M ORE pads can be used to adjust the cooking tim e of the follow ing features:– Pizza – Crispy Snack – Auto Grill – Auto Roast – Auto Bake – Sensor Rice M enu – Sensor Reheat Dish – Sensor Steam M enu – Easy Defrost To adjust cooking tim e, press the LESS ( ) or M ORE ( ) pad at the beginning of the procedure.
CARE AND CLEANING CLEAN THE OVEN AT REGULAR INTERVALS IM PORTANT: Disconnect the pow er supply cord before cleaning. And if possible leave the door open to inactivate the oven during cleaning. Before cleaning, m ake sure the oven door, outer cabinet, oven cavity, ventilation openings, turntable, turntable support and racks are not hot. Exterior: The outside m ay be cleaned w ith m ild soap and w arm w ater; w ipe w ith a soft cloth. Avoid the use of harsh abrasive cleaners.
