ULTRA DUTY ONBOARD AIR SYSTEM
DASH PANEL GAUGE INSTALLATION (CONT’D)
7. Connect to Power Source:
Before connecting the power wire to a power source, check to make sure that the ON/OFF switch on
the dash panel gauge is in the OFF position. Connect the ring terminal of the power wire to power source.
(This is the wire described in Step 4, which is connected to the ON/OFF switch of the dash panel gauge.)
8. Testing Your Onboard Air System:
Your Onboard Air System installation is now complete. Run the compressor to build pressure in the air tank.
When air pressure reaches the pressure switch cut out pressure, the compressor will shut off. Inspect all air
line connections for leaks with soap and water solution and spray with a spray bottle onto connections
to check for leaks. If leaks are detected, push air line may not be cut squarely or pushed all the way in.
Fix connections as needed. Periodically check your system’s tting in this manner should your compressor
turn on more often than normal without frequent air use.
TIRE INFLATION GUN OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Your Onboard Air System also comes with a Tire Ination gun for airing up tires, and adding compressed air
to any inatable item with a valve stem. The Tire Ination Gun has a normally closed lever style air chuck at
the end of its rubber hose. After connection to an air source such as an air tank via the quick connect stud
preinstalled in the unit, air may be discharged from the gun by simply squeezing the ination trigger.
To check air pressure, simply release the trigger and check the onboard air pressure gauge.
1. Using the Tire Ination Gun:
Using a 1/4“ Quick Coupler, connect the Tire Ination Gun to an air hose and connect to a tire valve stem or
similar ination collar by securing the folding lever on the Ination Gun air chuck.
2. Filling Tires and other Inatable Items:
Squeeze the Ination Trigger on the Ination Gun by pressing it towards the handle of the gun. This will allow
stored air from the air tank to ow through the gun and through the chuck into your tire or other inatable.
3. Checking Tire Pressure:
To check tire pressure, release Ination Trigger on Ination Gun and allow the needle of the 0-200 PSI gauge
to settle. Tire pressure will be able to be read only when the ination trigger is released.
WARNING:
- Never operate the Ination Gun at any pressure exceeding PSI.
- Use caution when attached or removing air chuck from valve stems.
- Always ensure that tire valve stems are tight before inating tires.
- Be careful to never inate any tire or other inatable past its rated pressure to avoid explosion,
or possible injury or death.
Please Note: Not intended for use with regular portable compressors or units meant to be operated with an
open ended air chuck. The Tire Ination Gun is equipped with a close ended chuck and will hold pressure back,
which could cause the hose to burst.
