4.3.1 Temperature calibration
Adjust the temperature compensation value.
Operation
1.
Dip the electrode into a solution of known temperature, and allow time for the
temperature sensor to stabilize.
2. Hold down the MNT key in the measurement mode until the MNT lamp lights up.
The instrument enters the maintenance mode, and “SEt” is shown on the measurement
display.
Measurement stops, and the instrument enter a state of hold.
3. Press the DOWN key to display “CAL” on the measurement display, and then press
the ENT key.
The instrument enters the calibration menu, and “t_” is shown on the sub-display.
4. Press the ENT key.
The instrument enters the temperature calibration menu. The sub-display starts blinking.
5. Press the UP/DOWN key to set the value on the measurement display to the
solution temperature.
UP key : Increments the value by the minimum display unit.
DOWN key : Decrements the value by the minimum display unit.
The allowable value is -10
°C to 10°C.
6. Press the ENT key.
The temperature calibration factor is updated.
The above completes the temperature calibration.
Tip
z You can directly display the temperature calibration menu from the measurement mode. For how
to do it, refer to “5.1 Daily calibration (calibration mode)” (page 53).
z To abort the calibration, press the MEAS key and instrument will return to the measurement mode
without updating calibration data.
z To set another item in the calibration setting next, press the DOWN key to display it.
4.3.2 Adjustment of compensation coefficient for conductivity zero point (Adjust)
Set the compensation coefficient for the conductivity zero point to adjust the instrument to
show 0 when the sensor is not in a solution.
Operation
1.
Hold down the MNT key in the measurement mode until the MNT lamp lights up.
The instrument enters the maintenance mode, and “SEt” is shown on the measurement
display.
Measurement stops, and the instrument enter a state of hold.
2. Press the DOWN key to display “CAL” on the measurement display, and then press
the ENT key.
The instrument enters the calibration menu and “t_” is displayed on the sub-display.
3. Press the DOWN key to display “Adj” on the sub-display, and then press the ENT
key.
The instrument enters the menu for adjusting the compensation coefficient for
conductivity zero point. The sub-display starts blinking.
4. Press the UP/DOWN key to set the compensation coefficient for the conductivity
zero point.
The setting range is ±10% of the value specified in “Measurement range setting” (page
24).
