S939 is here. It’s a masterful player that blends

the ultra-high frequency response of DVD-Audio with the video precision

of progressive scan—to take your audio/visual senses to new heights

and forever change the way you experience music and movies.

Comprehensively designed to perform flawlessly now and well into the

future, the DV

S939 is fitted with high-end 192 kHz/24-bit DACs to

faithfully reproduce 192-kHz 2-channel stereo, or loss-free 96-kHz

5.1-channel surround sound. There’s an RS-232 port for easy upgrades

and full home-automation control. An IEEE 1394 slot allows you

to upgrade to convenient, universal, high-speed, digital connection

capability. The DB-25 port gives you single-cable multichannel hook-

up to receivers like the TX

DS989. Plus the 6-channel RCA output,

two gold-plated progressive component-video outputs, and four digital

outputs give you total connection flexibility. Equally impressive is the

S939’s build quality. Two oversized transformers keep the power supply

separate for the digital and analog sections. A heavy-duty mechanical

tray door and disc tray reduce vibration and provide greater signal

purity. And large high-grade capacitors deliver ample power reserves.
