3-3 DISPLAY AND KEY FUNCTIONS
3-3-1 INDICATION OF CUTTING PROCESSES
In the lower line of the display information about
the sectioning status can be seen.
• Press the "scroll button" (fig. 5.1), to show the
various functions one after the other on the
display.
The following information on the current sectioning
position of the instrument can alternatively be seen
on the display:
- number of sections
- sum of section thicknesses
- remaining travel to the front end
position
- date and time
• For this, press button (fig. 5.1) until the
required information is shown on the display.
• If no information is required in this line, press
button (fig. 5.1) until this line of the display is
blank.
3-3-1-1 SECTION COUNTER
The section counter (fig. 6) adds up the number of
sections produced. After each downward
movement of the specimen holder, the number on
the section counter increases by 1.
• The counter can be reset to zero by means of
the button (fig. 5.2).
3-3-1-2 SECTION THICKNESS SUM
This value shows the sum in microns of the
sections already cut. Trimming values as well as
sectioning values are added up (fig. 7.2).
• This value can also be reset to zero by means
of the button (fig. 5.2).
