Problem Solution
A thumping sound is heard when power is
applied to the power transformer
Check the transformer mounting at the base
of the unit. Bend the transformer tabs up to
eliminate any play between the transformer
and the base.
Cannot clear the display Check the door sensing or stop switch
circuit for an open. If the circuits are OK,
follow the key matrix to determine if the
problem is in the key unit or control unit
Turntable rotates in either direction. This is normal
Control unit is dead Check foil fuse. Jumper in a spare fuse
before replacing the control unit. All
control units contain foil fuses, which are
built into the foil pattern on the circuit
board. The foil fuses are located on the
primary side of the transformer. Extra
fuses are provided so that the unit may be
repaired without having to be replaced.
Check the varistor, replace if necessary
AH sensor works erratically Ensure the wiring on the power transformer
is correct. Red wire closet to outer cabinet
wall.
Wave guide cover burns Check oven for cleanliness. Advise
customer
Monitor fuse opens every few months Check the fuse holder to ensure the clamps
have not experienced metal fatigue.
