- Changing the setup menu -
" Parental setting
Note:
Whilst playing a disc with parental lock, the display may appear requesting a pass-
word in order to watch some restricted scenes. In such a case, enter the password to
temporarily change the rating level.
" Password setting
From the setup menu, select "PREFERENCES", "PASSWORD" and then
"CHANGE".
Note:
When you forget your password
All settings return to the default then password is reset to "0000".

Select "PREFERENCES" on the setup menu screen (see steps 1 -
2 on page 27).

After selecting "PARENTAL" (step 3 on page 27), select a parental
level and press the ENTER button.

Enter a 4-digit password using the direct number buttons and
press the ENTER button.
If this is the first time, enter "0000".
Indicator Setting
1 Only DVD software intended for children can be played back.
2 to 7 Only DVD software intended for general use and children can
be played back.
8 DVD software of any grade (adult/general/children) can be
played back.

Enter the old password using the direct number buttons.
If this is your first time, enter "0000" as a password.

Enter the new password using the direct number buttons.

Enter the new password again for confirmation.
1 Open the disc tray.
2 Select "PREFERENCES", "DEFAULTS" and then "RESET".
3 Enter "1397" using the direct number buttons.
4 Press the ENTER button.
