Aerial adjustment

For FM broadcasts, raise and extend the telescopic rod aerial, then adjust the posi-

tion and length for the best reception. For AM, simply move or rotate the unit for the

best sound (the telescopic rod aerial does not affect the reception).

" Tuning

Notes:

! When radio interference occurs, auto scan tuning may stop automatically at that point.

! Auto scan tuning will skip weak signal stations.

! To stop the auto tuning, press the TUNING or ( or ) button again.

When the FM stereo mode is selected:

FM AM

Press the ON/STAND-BY switch on the main unit to turn the power on.

Press the TUNER/BAND button repeatedly to select the desired fre-

quency band (FM or AM).

FM stereo mode FM monaural mode AM mode

Press the or button to tune in to the desired station.

Manual tuning:

Press the TUNING or ( or ) button as many times as required to tune in to

the desired station.

Auto tuning:

When the TUNING or ( or ) button is pressed for more than 0.5 seconds,

scanning starts automatically and the tuner stops at the first receivable broadcast sta-

tion.

! "STEREO" will appear when an FM broadcast is in stereo. FM stereo receiving in-

dicator

! If the FM reception is weak, press the TUNER/BAND button to select the FM monaural

mode. The reception changes to mono, and the sound becomes clearer.
