Looking up a word by Filter search
A translation of an English word can be looked up by inputting its spelling.
<Example>
Findthetranslationof‘advance’.
1. Press
EN-DE
to open Langenscheidt
Englisch-Deutsch.
The input screen appears.
2. Typeinthespellingof‘advance’.
As you type, candidates for matching narrow.
If the desired word is found, then there is no
need to type any more letters.
3. Use and tomove‘ ’topointatthe
desired word, then press
ENTER
. The detail
view of the word appears.

Phrase search (Redewendungssuche)
Usingthephrasesearch,youcantranslatephrasesandidiomaticexpressionsasa
native speaker. Input up to three words of the phrase, which should be translated, into
thethreeinputeldsonebelowtheother.Thephrases/collocationscontainingALL
the entered words can be searched for.
