Using the shooting function

You can check the focus by enlarging the image before shooting using the
image sensor used for recording.
Checking the focus by enlarging the image (Manual focus
check)
1 Press the MF CHECK LV button.
The mirror slides up and the image is
displayed on the LCD monitor in the 100-
percent field of view.
• The indication of the shutter speed and
exposure are fixed when the manual
focus check starts. The camera meters
the light again right before shooting
and the exposure is set.
• The image is displayed with the proper
brightness regardless of the determined
exposure. The exposure compensation
is not reflected in the displayed image,
however, it is reflected in the recorded
image.

2 Press the button to enlarge the
image and select the portion you
want to enlarge with v/V/b/B on
the controller.
• Each time you press the button, the
zoom scaling changes as follows: Full
