l Turn off the power management both in the Windows and the Setup Utility.
Question: Why can’t I access the network?
l Confirm the item LAN is set to Enabled in the Advanced menu of the Setup
Utility.
l Confirm the cable is properly connected to the LAN jack and the network hub.
l Confirm the network configuration is appropriate.
l Confirm the user name or password is correct.
Other Troubles
Question: Why is the date and/or time incorrect?
l Correct the date and time using the Date/Time icon in the Windows Control
Panel or the Main menu of the Setup Utility.
Question: Why can’t I produce sound?
l Check the volume control on the right side of your computer.
l Click the speaker symbol on the taskbar and check the Windows volume control.
Question: Why can’t I use a hardware device?
l Make sure the hardware device is not crossed out with an X mark using the
following procedure.
1.
In the System Properties dialog box, select Device Manger.
2.
Select the device you cannot use.
3.
Click Properties, and uncheck Disable in this hardware profile.
