Introducing PaperCut, the simple, low cost print management soware application
that integrates directly with your print machines to give you complete control
of your copiers, printers, and multifunction devices.
It works by intercepting print jobs as they pass into a print queue, and watches
each queue to extract job information, such as page count. It then presents
this in a simple, easy to digest format so that you can implement and make
use of: logging, charging, control, quotas, reporting, and security features
like secure print release, archiving and watermarking.
Now in the cloud
The latest development from PaperCut is PaperCut Hive, which works
in the same simple way as PaperCut MF to provide the advanced features
you know and love, like secure print release and usage tracking; PaperCut
Hive diers by eliminating the need for costly on-site print servers.
PaperCut’s ‘Edge Mesh’ technology treats the computers and laptops
within your organisation as nodes (essentially a net of mini servers)
that replicate and process your print jobs like a print server. But by
removing the server, data isn’t transferred through a single point
(which can oen be the point of failure). If a node device drops o
the Edge Mesh, another will step in and take over, so you can keep
on printing.
PaperCut Hive prioritises security. Documents remain
local and encypted, meaning they never go through
the cloud and stay within your Edge Mesh. The only
information that travels to the cloud is job details,
like the number of pages, colour, and paper size.
