Compact PDF (N model only: MX-EBX3 required.)
The MX-M503N, MX-M453N, MX-M363N, and MX-M283N support compact PDF. The models create light and
high image quality PDF file by excellent character detection and well-balanced colour reproduction. The
compressed data size is about a tenth of the data size scanned without this feature. And compression speed in the
case of normal mode is much faster than that of current competitors’ MFPs.
Note: File size and/or compression speed varies depending on documents.
There are two options, normal and u-fine for compression setting. If users check “Compact” only, the data is highly
compressed. If users check both “Compact” and “U-Fine”, the compressed file size is slightly bigger than the file
produced when users check “Compact” only. Users can use both “Compact PDF” and “Encrypted PDF”
simultaneously.
Benefits
Any storage such as MFP HDD or USB memory can be used effectively.
Burden on the network is reduced.
The compressed data can be sent in a short time.
