VOICE ASSIST FUNCTION
(MX-M3050/M3070/M3550/M3570/M4050/M4070/M5050/M5070/M6050/M6070)
You can enable voice assist on the machine to help facilitate your workflow by providing audible notification of the end of
a job, out of paper, and other events.
To make voice assist sufficiently audible, install the machine with its back side against a wall.
There are three types of voice assist: "Real Time Notification", "Instruction & Initiation", and "Virtual Assistant".
Real Time Notification
Voice assist will inform you when printing is finished or interrupted.
Example:
• "Printing is completed."
• "The requested job was interrupted due to No paper. Please add paper."
• "The requested job was canceled due to an error."
Instruction & Initiation
Voice assist will notify you when paper is loaded in the bypass tray, when the automatic document feeder is closed
during multi-crop, and at other times.
Example:
• "A4 size paper Detected. Please check paper type settings."
• "Please keep the document feeder open."
Virtual Assistant
When the machine is turned on, voice assist will greet you with a greeting suitable for the time and/or date.
Example:
• "Good morning."
• "Hello."
• To configure voice assist settings
Configure in "Settings (administrator)" - [System Settings] → [Common Settings] → [Voice Assist Settings].
• Voice Assist Function
Configure these settings if you want to use voice assist.
• Language Setting
Set the language used for voice assist.
• Automatically switch the Voice Assist Language to the Display Setting Language when it is changed.
Enable this setting if you want the voice assist language to change when the language that appears on the touch panel is
changed. When the language is changed to a language other than Japanese, voice assist will use American English.
• Voice Assist Items
Set the items for which you want voice assist to provide assistance.
