 Intuitive User Interface
The MX-M1204 / MX-M1054 / MX-M904 are the first monochrome Sharp MFPs that are equipped with a 10.1”
LCD panel with cutting-edge user interface which uses ‘finger-swipe’ touch control. The panel has no hard keys,
other than power, power save, and home buttons. Its intuitive design and flick and swipe touch functionality
makes it very easy to use (just like smart phones and tablet PCs) and offers wider flexibility. Users can customise
the home screen to their own preference and the large screen makes it easier to read text and access applications,
as well as the Web.
Home Screen
The MX-M1204 / MX-M1054 / MX-M904 have a Home screen with a choice of six different patterns. Basically,
the screen has two areas. One is a scroll area that displays selection icons for basic mode and the other is a fixed
area that displays system-related icons. Users can change the home screen display including whether they show
the fixed area or not.
Legibility of Characters
The UI design on the MX-M1204 / MX-M1054 / MX-M904 has greater legibility of characters which makes it
easier to read small fonts.
1. Adopt scalable fonts: smooth and bold font design.
2. Enlarge basic text size: its size is 15% larger than MX-M753U / MX-M623U.
3. Prepare large character mode: its text size is 30% larger than normal mode.
Customisation of Home Screen
Similar to the MX-7040N / MX-6240N, users can customise the Home
screen. They can easily set preferred images on the background/
feature icons.
