 General Setting Functions
Name Description
Auto Clear The MX-M1100/950/850 series will return to its initial state after a certain period of
inactivity.
Auto Power
Shut-Off
Turns the machine off after it has remained idle for a preset amount of time. You can preset
this shut-off time as desired.
Auto Tray
Switching
If one of the paper trays runs out, it automatically switches to another paper tray filled with
the same size & type paper. Two or more trays must be filled with the same size & type paper
to use this function.
Developer Cooling
System
The MX-M1100/M950/M850 Developer Cooling
System for the developer unit helps to prevent
excessive heat building up and this way keeps the
image quality stable even in high volume
environments
Device Cloning Copies the data settings from one of the MX-M1100/950/850 series MFPs and sends it to
another device from the same series.
Device Control
(Auditing)
Controls and restricts all user parameters.
Device Control
(Restriction)
Restricts the use of specified peripheral devices. (For example, when the duplex unit is out of
order, it’s use can be restricted to avoid paper jam.)
Display Contrast Adjusts the contrast of the LCD control panel.
Display Language Selects the display language.
Double Feed
Detection
There are two senseors to detect double feeding paper. (In main unit and
in document feeder) When the sensors are detecting double feeding, it is
treated as a paper jam. (MX-M1100/950 only)
DSPF
(Duplex single
pass feeder)
With 250 sheet Duplex Single Pass Feeder both sides of document
can be scanned at the same time, which improves duplex
productivity - 120 sheets per min simple document
(MX-M950/1100)
or
85 sheets per minute simple document(MX-M850) (This speed is about
B/W simple document. Info about colour / duplex document, see page 73)
E-mail Alert Sends an e-mail to notify the user of any possible problems with the machine (e.g. it has run
out of toner or paper).
E-mail Status Notifies the user of the current status of the machine by sending an e-mail on a regular basis.
Energy Save Key Energy Save Key suppresses standby power consumption to contribute Environmental
performance.
Firmware Update Provides diverse methods of updating firmware.
