ERROR
MESSAGES
MEANING
NO SIGNAL z Poor connection of the digital cable.
z No output signal comes out from the
connected unit.
(Use the AC power for the connected
unit.)
z The input signal has improper sam-
pling frequency.
PLAY MD z You tried to record on a playback-
only disc.
POWER? z AC adaptor other than specified.
PROTECTED z The write protection tab of a MiniDisc
is set to the protected position.
SORRY z Since a track number is currently be-
ing located or updated, the unit can-
not accept your command.
(Wait a while and try the operation
again.)

TEMP OVER z The temperature is too high.
(Turn off the power, and wait a while.)
TOC FORM

z There is an error in the recording sig-
nal.
(Erase all of the tracks, and then record
again.)
TOC FULL z There is no space left for recording
character information (track names,
disc names, etc.).
Tr. Protect z The track has been protected from
being erased.
(Edit the track with the device on which
it was recorded.)
? DISC z A disc which contains data other
than music was played.
(A disc which contains nonmusic data
cannot be played.)
z There is an error in the signal record-
ed on the disc.
