MD-MT180
1 COM Spindle motor COM point connection terminal.
2 IN1F H bridge 1 logic input terminal. Output from pins 9 and 7.
3 IN1R
4 IN2F H bridge 2 logic input terminal. Output from pins 12 and 14.
5 IN2R
6 GND2 GND terminal in the MOS circuit section.
7 OUT1R H bridge 1 reverse output terminal.
8 VS1 H bridge 1 motor power supply terminal. The capacitor is connected to the GND terminal.
9 OUT1F H bridge 1 forward output terminal.
10 PGND1 H bridge 1 output section GND terminal.
11 PGND2 H bridge 2 output section GND terminal.
12 OUT2F H bridge 2 forward output terminal.
13 VS2 H bridge 2 motor power supply terminal. The capacitor is connected to the GND terminal.
14 OUT2R H bridge 2 reverse output terminal.
15* NC NC terminal.
16 MUTE Mute terminal for H bridge 1-, 2-, 3-phase thread, and half bridge.
Output terminals of drivers above have high impedance when L is input.
17 S/S Start/stop terminal in the spindle motor section. Started with “H” level input.
18 BRK Brake terminal in the spindle motor section. Counter torque brake applied with “L” level input.
19 VCO VCO oscillation terminal. The capacitor is connected to the GND terminal.
VCO oscillation frequency is changed in accordance with the revolution speed of the motor (voltage at VCOIN terminal).
20 VCC1 Terminal for supplying power to the bipolar circuit. The capacitor is connected to the GND terminal.
Used by connecting to the VCC2 terminal (pin 44).
21 VCOIN
VCO control voltage input terminal. The capacitor is connected to the GND terminal.
Control output is generated according to the revolution speed of the motor inside the logic, and charged/discharged to the
capacitor connected to the GND terminal. The voltage at this terminal controls the VCO oscillation frequency.
22 RMAX
VCO maximum frequency setting terminal. The resistor is connected to the GND terminal. The frequency rises by
lowering the resistance. With the VCOIN terminal set to VCC-1V, the VCO oscillation frequency is set to
more
than 48 times of the switching frequency at the highest revolution speed of the motor.
23 RMIN VCO minimum frequency setting terminal. The frequency rises by lowering the connection resistance.
24* VCTL Speed control input terminal.
25* VCREF Terminal with referential voltage for speed control.
26* NC NC terminal
27 PWM
PWM signal input terminal in digital input mode (when SEL terminal is “H”). Output TR is turned on by inputting “H”.
28 GND1 GND of bipolar circuit section.
29* NC NC terminal
30* SWCO Position detection comparator output terminal in the thread driver section.
31* SVCO
32* SUCO
33* SCOM Input terminal for position detection comparator COM in the thread driver section.
34 SEL Switching terminal for digital input “H”/analog input “L”. In digital input, torque directional signal is input into
the BRK terminal (pin 18) and PWM signal into PWM terminal to drive the spindle motor.
35 VS3 Power supply terminal for half bridge output section. The capacitor is connected to the GND terminal.
36 OUT3 Half bridge output terminal
37 PGND3 GND terminal for half bridge output section.
38 SWO 3-phase thread W-phase output terminal.
39 PGND4 Thread output section GND terminal.
40 SVO 3-phase thread V-phase output terminal.
41 VS4 Power supply terminal for 3-phase thread output section. The capacitor is connected to the GND terminal.
42 SUO 3-phase thread U-phase output terminal.
43 FG FG pulse output terminal (MOS output). It outputs the pulse equivalent to 3-hole.
Pin No. Terminal Name
