-Advanced Recording-
! Creating track numbers automatically
When recording from a stereo system, track numbers will
be created automatically at regular intervals.
Note:
When making digital recordings using a CD player or a
MiniDisc player, track numbers will be created automati-
cally regardless of the setting of the auto marker function.
! To create your own track numbers
You can create your own track numbers at any point.
Whilst recording, press the REC button at the point
where you want to create track numbers.

The track number will be increased by one.

You can perform the same operation by pressing the
BASS button on the remote control unit.
Numbering restriction
If you number tracks continuously in fixed time, "SORRY"
will be displayed and the operation will be disabled.
In that case, wait until the next operation can be
resumed.

Whilst the recording or recording is paused,
press the MENU button.
The unit enters the menu select mode.

Select "MARK" by press-
ing the or button
and press the MENU but-
ton.

Select the desired interval
by pressing the or
button and press the
MENU button.
LEVEL-AUTO Track numbers will be created auto-
matically by detecting 1 second or
more of silence.
TIME 10min A new track number is created every
10 minutes.
TIME 5min A new track number is created every
5 minutes.
TIME 3min A new track number is created every
3 minutes.
OFF No track numbers are created auto-
matically.
In stereo recording Within 40 seconds
In 2 times long recording Within 80 seconds
In 4 times long recording Within 160 seconds
In monaural recording Within 80 seconds
