Basic adjustment settings
Press MENU and the MENU screen displays.
Press c/d to select “Setup”.
Press a/b to select “Antenna Setup -
DIGITAL”, and then press ENTER.
• If you already set the Secret No., input the 4-
digit secret number here. See page 40 for
setting a secret number.

Cable Reception
• This menu provides useful technical information for when
the CableCARD security module is installed by cable
service personnel. The following information may vary
depending on your cable service provider.
Press a/b to select “Cable Reception”.
• Technical information displays.
FAT (Forward Applications Transport) information:
• FAT denotes a TV program channel that your digital cable
service provides. Digital cable reception information such
as signal lock status and frequency is provided.
Status: When the TV is tuned to a program channel, it shows
“LOCK”. Otherwise “UNLOCK” is displayed.
Modulation: Shows modulation system of the digital cable service
either in 64QAM or in 256QAM.
Frequency: Shows the signal frequency.
Strength: Shows the strength of the reception signal. The
strength value varies from 0 to 99. To enjoy a clear
picture without noise, the value should exceed 60.
FDC (Forward Data Channel) information:
• FDC denotes a data channel for CableCARD security
module operation. When the CableCARD security module
is inserted, data channel reception information such as
signal lock status and frequency is displayed.
Status: When the TV is tuned to a data channel, it shows
“LOCK”. Otherwise “UNLOCK” is displayed.
Rate: Shows the data channel transmission rate.
Frequency: Shows the data channel frequency.
Strength: Shows the strength of the reception signal. The
strength value varies from 0 to 99. To ensure stable
operation, the value should exceed 60.
