Useful adjustment settings
Allows you to use a password to protect certain
settings from being accidentally changed.
IMPORTANT:
Two conditions must be met to enable the V-Chip
O Password is registered.
® V-CHIP settings have been made.
® "V-CHIP" is set to "ON".
Setting a password
Press MENU and the MENU screen
displays.
Press 4/1_ to select _ (LOCKS).
Press A/V. The password entering menu
displays.
Select and enter a password (4 digits) using
the number buttons (0-9), then press
ENTER.
LOCKS
[U-9]:SELECT ENTER:SET
EXIT:END
"_ " appears instead of the number.
Enter the same password again to confirm,
then press ENTER, the password is now
registered and the V-CHIP SET menu will
appear on the screen.

EXIT:END
Changing the password
Allows you to change your current password.
Repeat steps 1 to 3 in setting a password,
• The password entering menu displays.
Input the 4-digit password by using 0-9.
Press A/Y to select "NEW PASSWORD",
then press _1/_.

V.CHIP OFF
TV RATING OFF
MOVIERATING OFF
L_!:SELECT {_ :ADJUST
Enter a new password using 0-9, then
3ress ENTER.
LOCKS
[U-9]:SELECT ENTER:SET
EXIT:END
Enter the same password again to confirm,
then press ENTER.
LOCKS
[U-U]:SELECT ENTER:SET
EXIT:END
The screen returns to V-CHIP SET menu.
Your new password has been set.
• As a precautionary measure, make a note of your
password and keep it in a familiar place,
