Registering the Cordless Handset
HANDSET?
After the initial charging,
the cordless handset
display shows:
To use the cordless handset,
you must first register it in the
machine. During registration,
the machine will assign the
handset a number.
1 On the machine, hold down
until the display at right appears.
2 Press on the machine.
• Important: Be sure to complete Steps
3 through 5 below while the display at
right still appears on the machine.
3 On the cordless handset, hold down
until the display at right appears.
4 Press on the cordless handset.
5 Press on the cordless handset.
• The cordless handset display will go dark while registration takes place.
6 When registration is finished, the
number assigned to the cordless
handset will appear as shown at right.
Note: If you take no action for one minute during the registration procedure,
the procedure will be canceled. In this case, start from Step 1 again.
