Abridged English Manual
Vodafone Global Standard USIM Card is an IC Card containing customer information such
as handset number. USIM Card must be inserted before using a USIM Card compatible
handset. USIM Card can only be used on networks specified by Vodafone.
1 Open USIM Card cover
2 Insert USIM Card with IC Chip facing down
3 Push in until USIM Card clicks
4 Close USIM Card cover
1 Open USIM Card cover
2 Lightly push in USIM Card
USIM Card pops out.

"9999" or 4-digit number selected at initial subscription. Security Code is required to use/
change handset functions.

4-digit number in subscription contract required to access optional services from fixed line
phones.
Use Call Barring Password selected at initial subscription to restrict handset services. If
Call Barring Password is incorrectly entered three times, Call Barring settings are locked.
Center Access Code and Call Barring Password must be changed. For details, contact
Customer Service (AP. 16-47).
USIM PINs
PIN1 & PIN2
PIN1 Prevent unauthorized use of Vodafone handset.
PIN2
Required to reset Total Charges and to set, cancel or save Fixed Dialing
Number.
PIN Lock & Cancel PIN Lock

« If PIN Lock Cancel Code is incorrectly entered ten times, USIM Card is locked and
handset is disabled. Write down PIN Lock Cancel Code.
« For procedures required to unlock USIM Card, contact Customer Service (AP. 16-47).

Placing Calls when USIM Card Locked
In Japan, calls cannot be made from the handset when USIM Card is locked.
Overseas calls can be placed to emergency service numbers only.

these codes, contact Customer Service (AP. 16-47).
