3. Press a or b to highlight “Bluetooth Time Out”,
then press to select.
4. Press a or b to highlight the desired time, then
press to select.
Your phone turns the Bluetooth function off
automatically for the specified time.
To Turn the Authentication Request On or Off
You can request the sender or receiver of the OBEX
data to authenticate the passcode (exchanging the
passcode) before pairing devices.
1. Perform steps 1 to 4 in “Using the Bluetooth
Function” on page 147.
2. Press a or b to highlight “Bluetooth Settings”,
then press to select.
3. Press a or b to highlight “Authentication”, then
press to select.
4. Press a or b to highlight “On” or “Off”, then
press to select.
Note
• No authentication is required for the paired devices.
• Even if you select "Off", you may authenticate the
passcode when the sender requests it.
Using the Infrared Function
Via the Infrared connection, you can use the following
functions:
• GSM/GPRS modem.
• Data exchange based on OBEX technology.
1. Press to display the Main menu.
2. Press a, b, c or d to highlight “Settings”, then
press to select.
3. Press a or b to highlight “Connectivity”, then
press to select.
4. Press a or b to highlight “Infrared”, then press
to select.
If the Bluetooth wireless function has been
activated, you will be asked whether you wish to
deactivate it or not. Press A [Yes].
5. Press a or b to highlight “On”, then press to
select.
“ ” will appear on the screen.
The infrared setting will return to off when no data
is transmitted/received via infrared communication.
