Disc Playback
■ Time search selection
You can play back from the desired scene by specifying the time.
To cancel the time search operation:
Press the ( RETURN) button.
Notes:
● Time search mode will be cancelled automatically if the desired
time is not entered within 10 seconds.
● This operation is not accepted by still pictures (menu display,
photo, etc.).
● This function is not available with an audio CD or MP3 disc.
Caution:
● The time search function will not work during P.B.C. play.
Cancel the P.B.C. mode before using this function on a video CD
with P.B.C.
● This function does not work during programmed play.
■ Disc digest selection
You can play back a desired track by selecting one from the 9 dis-
played tracks on the screen.
When there are more than 9 tracks on the video CD:
Each press of the button will display the next 9 tracks.
Press the button to return to the previous display.
To cancel the disc digest:
Press the ( RETURN) button.
Notes:
● The disc digest function is available only in the stop mode.
● This function is not available with an audio CD or MP3 disc.
Caution:
● This function does not work in the P.B.C. mode, which will auto-
matically cancelled when you press the DIGEST/TIME SEARCH
button.
● This function does not work during programmed play.
1 Whilst in the playback mode, hold down the DIGEST/TIME
SEARCH button to enter the time search mode.
2 Use the direct search buttons on the remote control to
specify the time.
[For example, to select 2 minutes and 30 seconds.]
Press "0", "2", "3", "0" successively.
Selected time
The point of specified time will be located on the track being
played and playback will resume from that point.

Whilst in the stop mode, press the
DIGEST/TIME SEARCH button.
● Up to 9 tracks will be displayed on the screen.
● Each time a track is displayed, you can hear the first several
seconds of the track.

Press the direct search buttons on the remote control to
select the desired track.
Playback will be started from the selected track.
