Shooting Functions

You can connect a commercially available stereo microphone to the
microphone input terminal. Using an external microphone may reduce
noise, such as camera operation sounds, that is recorded.

Turn the camera off.

Open the cover of the
microphone input
terminal and connect the
microphone plug to the
microphone input
terminal.

Turn the camera on.
The settings described in this section can also be set through the control panel.
Connecting a Microphone
The following specifications are recommended for external microphones.
• Plug: Stereo mini-plug (∅3.5mm)
• Type: Stereo electret condenser
• Power supply: Plug-in-power system (operating voltage of 2.0V or less)
• Impedance: 2.2kΩ
Note that if the external microphone is disconnected during recording, the
movie recording will be terminated.
