Setting 4: TEL/FAX REMOTE NUMBER (TRANSFER CODE)
If you hear a fax tone when you answer a call on a tone dial extension
phone connected to the same line as the fax, you can make the fax begin
reception by pressing 5,

on the phone. Use this setting if you
want to use a number other than 5 to begin fax reception. You can enter
any number from 0 to 9.

Setting 5: REMOTE RECEPTION SELECT
If you don't intend to use the above TEL/FAX REMOTE NUMBER, you
can turn detection of the number off. This will ensure that the fax never
mistakenly attempts to begin reception if it detects a signal similar to the
TEL/FAX REMOTE NUMBER while you are talking on an extension
phone. Press 1 to turn detection on, or 2 to turn detection off.
