waterinamixingbowl.Seasonwithsalt,pepperandspices,andmix
until all of the ingredients are thoroughly combined. Pat dry then dip
each piece of food you are frying into the batter, ensuring that the
foodisevenlycoatedandallowingexcessbattertodripoff.Placethe
fryerbasketintheoil.Usingtongs,dipthebatteredfoodintothehot
oilforabout10secondsandthenreleaseit.Thisallowsthefoodto
form a crust, preventing it from sticking to the basket. Add remaining
piecesoffoodoneatatime,beingcarefulnottoovercrowdthepot.
Place the basket lid on the basket. Fry until the food has reached a
goldenbrowncolor,3-5minutes.Removethefoodandplaceona
platelinedwithpapertowelsoracoolingrack.Serveimmediately.
