Solid-state module
NOTE: The solid-state module spare part kit does not include the solid-state module bracket or screws.
The solid-state module bracket and screws are included in the Solid-state Module Hardware Kit, spare
part number 651649-001.

Before removing the solid-state module, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see
Battery on page 33).
Remove the solid-state module:
1.
Slide the service cover release latch (1) to the left.
2.
If the optional security screw (2) is being used, remove the screw, and then slide the release latch
again (3) to release the service cover.
NOTE: If you want to use the optional screw, it is stored inside the service cover.
3. Slide the service cover forward (4) until it disengages from the computer.
