Recording
Timer Recording using the SHOWVIEW® system
You can programme the
timer using the SHOWVIEW
programming numbers that are
printed in your local TV guide
magazine.

In stop mode, press [TIMER
PROG. SHOWVIEW].
SHOWVIEW Programming window
will appear.
If you have not set the clock,
the clock setting window will
appear instead. In such case,
continue from step 4 in “Clock
Setting” on page 21 before
programming the timer.
If the Timer Programming list
is full, the Timer Programming
mode is activated instead of the
SHOWVIEW programming mode.
• Press [TIMER PROG.
SHOWVIEW] again in the
SHOWVIEW programming
mode to switch to the Timer
Programming mode.

Set the SHOWVIEW programming
number of the programme
you want to record using [the
Number buttons], then press
[ENTER].

Select the desired recording
pattern using [Cursor K / L],
then press [ENTER].

Weekly
Once
Daily
Once:
To record a TV programme once,
as you set.
Daily:
To record a TV programme at the
same time on the same channel
everyday.
M-F:
To record a TV programme at the
same time on the same channel
from Monday through Friday.
Weekly:
To record a TV programme at the
same time on the same channel
every week.

Select a recording channel using
[Cursor K / L], then press [Cursor B].
If your local channel
information is programmed
in the unit’s memory, your
local channel number appears
automatically.
If your local channel
information is not programmed
in the unit’s memory, “P– –”
may appear.
If you select the channel
number using
[Cursor K / L]
, it is
stored in the unit’s memory.

Select the recording mode
using [Cursor K / L], then press

Select VPS / PDC to “ON” or
“OFF” using [Cursor K / L], then

SHOWVIEW] to exit.

The icon will appear on the
front panel display and the unit
enters to the timer-standby
mode.

Note
If the SHOWVIEW programming number is not available, “Code Error!”
is displayed and the number will clear when you press [ENTER] in
step 2.
If the SHOWVIEW programming number previously set overlaps
with the one you entered and the channel is different, “Overlap”
is displayed but the timer programming will be cleared when you
press [ENTER] in step 3.
If you enter the same SHOWVIEW programming number and the
recording pattern which you have already entered, the previously
set programme will be overwritten.
If you enter the same SHOWVIEW programming number but a
different recording pattern, it will be saved as a new programme
and added to the timer programming list.
If you want to monitor the programme that you are recording,
make sure the device such as Set-top Box is turned off when it is
connected to AV2.
“Code Error!” is displayed if:
A past time is entered for start and end times.
The SHOWVIEW programming number cannot be decoded.
