3D VIRTUAL SURROUND setting
This function allows you to enjoy a surround sound effect when you
are using an analog connection (using LINE OUT on this product) to
2-channel audio equipment (TV, etc.).
Preparation
To use the 3D VIRTUAL SURROUND function
Set the COMPRESSION setting in AUDIO to OFF (see page 45).
Refer to the table below about the types of audio format with which
3D VIRTUAL SURROUND works.
1 Press FUNCTION CONTROL during playback.
The Function control screen appears.
2 Use ' or " to select
and then press ENTER.
3 Press ' or " to toggle 3D VIRTUAL SURROUND between
“ON” and “OFF”.
4 While “ON” is selected, use \ or | to change the level setting.
5 Press ENTER to confirm the setting.
You can exit the Function control screen by pressing
RETURN or FUNCTION CONTROL.

About the Function Control Screen
3D VIRTUAL SURROUND does not
operate on Audio CDs.
3D VIRTUAL SURROUND does not
operate when you set the
“COMPRESSION” setting in “AUDIO” to
ON”.
3D VIRTUAL SURROUND does not
operate when you are using a Digital
connection.
3D VIRTUAL SURROUND does not
operate when you playback a disc
recorded using DTS/MPEG Audio
format.
