S-Shoin: Make settings for S-Shoin. For details on each item
that can be set nP.21 "Setting character entry"
Google voice typing: Make settings for Google voice typing.
Moji-Henshu: Check information on the app of Moji-Henshu.
Select language: Select Japanese/English.
Voice input: Make settings for the voice input.
Text-to-speech output: Make settings for the voice for reading
the characters displayed on the handset.
Spell checker: Make settings for Spell checker.
Personal dictionary: Register any words into Personal
dictionary and display them as conversion candidates when
you enter characters with Google Keyboard.
Pointer speed: Set the speed of the pointer.
Character code setting: Set a character code to use when
sending data from an app.
You can back up data using a Google account, transfer data to/
from among devices, perform Reset all, etc.

In the home screen, display the APPS Sheet/
[Settings]/[Backup & reset]

Select an item
Back up my data: Set whether to automatically back up app
data, Wi-Fi passwords, etc. using a Google account.
Backup account: Set a Google account to use when backing
up data.
Automatic restore: Set whether to restore backed up data,
settings, etc. of an app when you re-install the app.
Data transfer: For details nP.79 "Data transfer"
Reset all: For details nP.80 "Resetting all"
Data transfer
You can import data or back up/restore data on the handset
using a microSD Card. In addition, you can import phonebook
data on other devices using the Bluetooth function.
The following data can be backed up to/restored from a microSD
Card.

User/Learning dictionary (S-Shoin)

While you are backing up data to a microSD Card, [Airplane
mode] is ON.
When the available space on the handset memory is less than 11
MB, you cannot back up data to a microSD Card.
Insert a microSD Card in advance when using one.

In the home screen, display the APPS Sheet/
[Settings]/[Backup & reset]/[Data transfer]
: Alternatively, in the home screen, display the DESKTOP
Sheet/[データ引継] (Data transfer) to activate it.

Select an item
Data import: Import data using a microSD Card or the
Bluetooth function.
Save data to microSD: Save data on a microSD Card.

■ Saving backup file

In the home screen, display the APPS Sheet/
[Settings]/[Backup & reset]/[Data transfer]

Enter the passcode/[OK]

Select the data categories to save
: If you select [Address Book], the screen for selecting which
account to save is displayed.

■ Restoring backup file

: The confirmation screen appears. Follow the instructions on
the screen and operate after this step.
■ Setting/Managing backup file

[Settings]/[Backup & reset]/[Data transfer]

Select an item
Organize backup files: Delete saved backup data.
Addr.book pic backup: Set whether to back up images
registered in a phonebook when backing up the phonebook.
View result screen: Display the latest result of saving/
restoring backup files.
Keyboard
When you enter Japanese, use S-Shoin.
[Google Keyboard], [S-Shoin ], [Google voice typing],
[Moji-Henshu]
These are displayed/hidden depending on the settings of
[CHOOSE KEYBOARDS] in Current selected keyboard.
[Spell checker]
Japanese is not supported.
Backup & reset
You cannot save when the battery level is insufficient.
You cannot restore the data when the battery level is
insufficient.
Note that, when you restore User/Learning dictionary (S-Shoin)
data, User/Learning dictionary (S-Shoin) data saved on the
handset memory is deleted even if you select [Add registration].
