Handset Settings

You can make settings for エモパー (Japanese only) (emopa
(Japanese only)), Clip Now, Grip magic, On/off with motion,
View with flip cover or Recent apps key, or perform Self check.

In the home screen, display the APPS Sheet/
[Settings]/[Useful]

Select an item
 エモパー (Japanese only) (emopa (Japanese only)): For
details nP.73 "emopa"
 Clip Now: For details nP.74 "Clip Now"
 Grip magic: For details nP.20 "Grip Magic"
 On/off with motion: For details nP.74 "On/off with motion"
 View with flip cover: Set whether to display the screen for the
small window when the handset is equipped with a flip cover
which is equipped with a small window.
 Recent apps key: Set a function to use when you touch [}].

 Self check: For details nP.74 "Self check"
emopa
Based on your information and settings of emopa registered in
advance, the handset delivers various information through
voice or screen display in the lock screen of the Welcome Sheet
(Lock Screen). emopa responds by its voice or screen display
if you answer emopa's voice with your voice.
Also, when you tell emopa the content what you want to take a
memo such as a schedule, emopa memorizes and delivers it
according to the schedule (emopa memo).
The handset will get to deliver information at better timing by
learning the usage conditions of your handset.
Packet communication charges are incurred when you use
emopa.
エモパー (Japanese only) (emopa (Japanese only)) is set to
[OFF] by default. To set エモパー (Japanese only) (emopa
(Japanese only)) to ON, set [ウェルカムシート表示] (Welcome
Sheet display) of Disney Illumi Park Setting to OFF. For details
nP.33 "Disney Illumi Park Setting"
The present location may be measured so that emopa can
recognize your home, information of nearby facilities, etc. It is
necessary to set [Location] to On to measure the present location.
Set Mode of Location services to [High accuracy]. If [Location] is
set to Off or Mode is set to [Battery saving], emopa cannot deliver
information requiring measurement of the present location
(nP.76 "Location").

: If the initial settings are not completed, the initial settings
screen appears. Follow the instructions on the screen and
operate.
: It is recommended to make settings for 職場・学校
(Workplace and school) by [あなたについて] (About you)
after completing the initial settings.
: If the initial settings are completed, the emopa screen is
displayed. You can check the state of emopa and your
information.

In the emopa screen, [C ]
: You can switch ON/OFF of emopa.

Select an item
 エモパー選択 (Select emopa): Set emopa and its name. Also,
add emopa from the website.
 基本動作について (About basic operation): Make settings for
the basic operations such as the volume of emopa and the
timing that emopa starts to talk.
 あなたについて (About you): Make settings for your
information such as your nickname, home, workplace and
school.
 エモパーの話題 (Topics of emopa): Set what kind of
information emopa delivers.
 エモパーメモ (emopa memo): Set the place to use the emopa
memo etc.
 エモパーの記憶 (Memories of emopa): Save, delete or
restore information registered for emopa or contents learned
by emopa.
 初期設定 (Initial settings): Make initial settings for emopa.
 注意事項 (Precautions): Check the emopa version, the terms
of service, privacy policy, etc.
 FAQ: Access the "よくある質問 (FAQ)" (Frequently asked
questions) of the official emopa information website, emopark
(in Japanese only).
Timing for emopa to talk
If you put down the handset horizontally etc. while the Welcome
Sheet (Lock Screen) is displayed or while the display is turned off
in a place which you set for [自宅] (Home) or [自宅のほかにお話
しできる場所] (The place emopa can talk other than your home)
of あなたについて (About you), emopa starts to talk.
While connecting an earphone to the handset, emopa talks to you
regardless of the place or time.
emopa starts to talk by shaking the handset several times
(approximately 2 seconds) in the Welcome Sheet (Lock Screen).
Using emopa memo
If you touch the screen twice while the display is turned off or the
Welcome Sheet (Lock Screen) is displayed and tell emopa about a
schedule etc., emopa memorizes and delivers it according to the
schedule.
In the Welcome Sheet (Lock Screen), touch the area where a
clock, icon, information etc. is not displayed.
If [外出先でメモ] (Take a memo outside your home) of エモパー
メモ (emopa memo) is enabled, you can use emopa memo
anyplace as well as the place you have set for [自宅] (Home) or [
自宅のほかにお話しできる場所] (The place emopa can talk other
than your home) of あなたについて (About you).
･ When you tell emopa outside, put the earpiece to your ear like
making a call.
A memo emopa memorized is registered in Calendar. If you tell
emopa including the word to express time such as "明日"
(tomorrow), "今週" (this week) or "そろそろ" (soon), emopa
delivers information at the timing you have told with the memo.

Set [glove mode] to OFF when using the screen for the small
window (nP.70 "Display").
When you make initial settings for emopa, [Pedometer On] is
enabled (nP.65 "Pedometer").
You can adjust the volume by pressing x/y while emopa
is talking.
emopa does not talk from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
emopa supports only Japanese.
Information delivered by emopa may not accurately correlate to
the usage conditions of your handset.
