Make sure that your fingers, hair, handset strap, etc. do not
obscure the camera lens when shooting images.
Because a larger picture size requires more data, movement in
the image on the handset display may appear slow.
Indoor fluorescent lighting etc. may create flickering or streaky
shading on the screen. This flickering or shading may be reduced
by changing the lighting conditions and brightness of the room or
adjusting the camera brightness and white balance.
Shot still pictures are saved in DCF1.0 (ExifVer.2.3, JPEG)
format.
The camera is not available while watching 1Seg.
Operations while using camera
If no operations are performed for approximately 3 minutes while
activating the camera, the camera automatically ends. If
characters etc. have been scanned, the scan results are deleted.
The shutter sound volume cannot be changed.
Picture size of camera
The following picture sizes are available.
*1 Available only when you use the back camera.
*2 Available only when you use the front camera.
Shooting screen layout
1 Setting icon displaying area
Touch a displayed icon to change settings.
2 Remaining number for shooting
Displayed when the remaining number for shooting decreases
to 99 or less.
Even after shooting a still picture/video, the number may not be
changed.
3 Switching front camera/back camera
Set to shoot with the front camera or back camera.
Using some functions or changing settings are not available
while you use the front camera.
4 Mobile light
Switch settings of the mobile light.
5 Shooting mode
Switching shooting modes (nP.59 "Switching shooting
modes").

8 Count Down Shutter
When Count Down Shutter is set to other than [OFF], [0]
appears if the camera detects people's face. Touch it to start
count down in the character's voice.
9 Album/Thumbnail
Activate Album or display the still picture or video you have just
shot.

In the home screen, display the APPS Sheet/
[SHCamera]

Turn the camera of the handset (back camera) to
an object
: To adjust the brightness: Slide your finger up/down
: To zoom: Slide your finger to the left/right or pinch out/in
Maximum magnification (zoom step) is approximately 8.0-
fold (90 steps).
: To lock the focus: Touch the object
Touch anywhere other than focus mark to cancel the focus
lock.
The focus cannot be locked if Focus Setting is set to [AF
OFF].

[!]/x/y
: Alternatively, you can shoot still pictures by touching the focus
mark while the focus is locked.
: Touch and hold [!] or hold x/y down for at least 1
second to shoot multiple still pictures in a row.

Images and audio recorded with the handset are for personal use
and must not be used for any other purposes without the consent
of the rightful person in accordance with the Copyright Act. Please
note that acts such as the use or defacement of the likeness or
name of other individuals without their consent may infringe on an
individual's rights of portrait. Please be aware of copyrights and
rights of portrait when posting images and audio recorded with the
handset on the Internet or similar media. The recording of images
or audio may be restricted at stage performances, shows,
exhibitions, etc. even when the images or audio is recorded for
personal use etc. Do not use the handset to send copyrighted
images for uses other than those permitted under the Copyright
Act.
If you cause the public any trouble using the handset, you may be
punished under law or regulations (for example, nuisance
prevention ordinance).
Please be considerate of the privacy of individuals around you
when shooting and sending pictures using camera-enabled
devices.
