WARNING ABOUT GROUNDING • Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the round grounding pin from this plug. Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if in any doubt as to whether the appliance is properly grounded. PRECAUTIONS NOTES ON OPERATION • Allow 3 minutes for the compressor to restart cooling. If you turn the unit off and immediately restart it, allow three minutes for the compressor to restart cooling. There is an electronic device in the unit that keeps the compressor turned off for three minutes for safety. • In the event of a power failure during use, allow 3 minutes before restarting the unit. After power is reinstated, restart the unit.
LOCATION MIN.12" (30cm) ENGLISH • The unit should be placed on a firm foundation to minimize noise and vibration. For safe and secure positioning, place the unit on a smooth, level floor strong enough to support the unit. This will also help to avoid water spilling out into the room. • The unit has casters to aid placement, but it should only be rolled on smooth, flat surfaces. Use caution when rolling on carpet surfaces. Do not attempt to roll the unit over objects.

INSTALL WINDOW PANEL Installation in a double-hung sash window 1 Insect guard net Connect the rain guards to the insect guard net. Hole Rain guard Insert all three projections on each rain guard into the holes in the insect guard net. Side “A” will now be at the top, as indicated in the diagram. Projection the guard combined above to 2 Attach the window panel. Push the insect guard net firmly to ensure that its four projections fit into the holes in the window panel.

(1) Open the window sash and place the window panel on the window sill. (2) Slide the adjustment panel to fit the window frame width. INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL OF EXHAUST HOSE Installation of the exhaust hose the window adapter to the 1 Attach exhaust hose. Extend one end of the exhaust hose and insert it into the window adapter, and turn it (approx. three times) until it stops. Make sure they are securely attached. Removal of the exhaust hose Pull out and remove the window adapter by pushing down two “PUSH” markings, and slide and close the exhaust cover in the window panel. PRE-OPERATION CHECKS POWER PLUG CHECK This unit uses a fused power plug. Always check the power plug before use. 1 2 et.Insert the power plug into the wall sock3 Press the TEST button. Press the RESET button. TEST RESET You will hear a CLICK if the circuit breaker is functioning correctly. Press the RESET button until you hear 4 another CLICK. The circuit breaker is activated, power is supplied, and the unit is now ready for use.
ENGLISH HOW TO USE THE REMOTE CONTROL Point the remote control toward the receiver window and press the desired button. The unit generates a beep when it receives the signal. • Make sure nothing, such as curtains, blocks the signal receiver window. • The signal effective distance is 23 feet (7 m). CAUTION: • Do not expose the receiver window to direct sunlight. This may adversely affect its operation. • Use of certain fluorescent lamp in the same room may interfere with transmission of the signal.
USE FOR AIR CONDITIONER Use when the unit operates with the cool, dehumidification, fan or ventilation mode. During operation, Plasmacluster ions are released into the room. • The exhaust hose must be installed in these modes. • Ensure that the stopcock is securely attached the drainpipe. • When cool or dehumidification operation is performed at high humidity conditions, water tank inside the unit may frequently become full.
FAN MODE ENGLISH The unit simply circulates the air. 1 Press the MODE button to select FAN mode. COOL DEHUM FAN VENT 2 Press the A/C button to start operation. • The green AIR CON lamp will light. • The temperature cannot be set. 2 TO TURN OFF Press the OFF button. • The green AIR CON lamp will turn off. 3 Press the FAN button to set fan speed. REFRESH OPERATION the REFRESH button during Ion 1 Press generator operation. ENGLISH REFRESH operation will reduce odors of clothes with Plasmacluster ions. It is recommended to use this function in front of the wardrobe, closet, laundry room or hanging cloth. • The orange TIMER lamp will light. • The remote control will display " ". • The horizontal louvers will swing. • The unit will stop operating after 5 hours. TO CANCEL Press the REFRESH button again. • The orange TIMER lamp will turn off.
MAIN UNIT OPERATION Use this operation when the remote control is not available. the POWER button to start opera1 Press tion. • The mode will change as you press the button within 5 seconds. 1 COOL (The green AIR CON lamp will light) ION GENERTOR (The blue ION GENERATOR lamp will light) OFF • In cool mode, the unit will operate at its last cooling settings. If the unit has been unplugged since it was last operated, it will resume operation in the cooling mode, set at 68˚F. The fan speed set to AUTO.
MAINTENANCE Be sure to disconnect the power from the wall socket before cleaning. If the filter is clogged with dust, the airflow will be reduced, resulting in poor cooling performance. The filter should be cleaned every two weeks. AIR FILTER 1 2 CLEAN THE FILTER ENGLISH CLEANING THE FILTER Air filter REMOVE THE FILTER • Pull the filter to the right. • Use a vacuum cleaner to remove any dust. If the filter is very dirty, wash it with detergent and rinse carefully with clean water.
BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE If the unit appears to be malfunctioning, check the following points before calling for a service. UNIT DOES NOT OPERATE AT ALL • Is the unit plugged in or is the plug loose? • Has the fuse blown or is the circuit breaker tripped? • Did you restart the unit within 3 minutes of a power failure? If the power was off for less than 3 minutes when, you restarted the unit, a protective device may cause the compressor to shut off, preventing cooling for about 5 minutes.

INSTALACIÓN Y DESMONTAJE DE LA MANGUERA DE ESCAPE Instalación de la manguera de escape Fije el adaptador del escape de la 1 ventana a la manguera de escape. Extienda uno de los extremos de la manguera de escape e insertelo dentro del adaptador del escape de la ventana, y gírelo (tres veces aprox.) hasta que se detenga. Desmontaje de la manguera de escape 1 Desmonte el adaptador de la ventana. Al presionar las dos marcas “PUSH”, tire y extraiga el adaptador del escape de la ventana, deslice y cierre la cubierta del escape en el panel de ventana. “PUSH” ESPAÑOL el adaptador de la mangue2 raDesmonte de escape de la unidad. Levante y retire el adaptador de la manguera de escape de la unidad presionando los dos salientes.
INSPECCIONES ANTES DEL USO REVISIÓN DE LA CLAVIJA DE TOMA DE CORRIENTE Esta unidad utiliza un enchufe de alimentación con fusible. Verifique siempre el enchufe de alimentación antes de su uso. PRUEBA (TEST) REINICIO (RESET) 1 Presione el botón de reinicio (RESET). la clavija de toma de corriente en 2 elInserte enchufe de pared. 3 Presione el botón de prueba (TEST). USO PARA EL ACONDICIONADOR DE AIRE CAMBIO DE LA DIRECCIÓN DE FLUJO DE AIRE DIRECCIÓN DEL FLUJO DE AIRE HACIA ARRIBA/ABAJO 1 Presione el botón LOUVERS. • Las persianas horizontales girarán continuamente. 2 Presione el botón LOUVERS nuevamente para detener la funcion deseada. PRECAUSIONES: No trate nunca de graduar manualmente las persianas horizontales. • Si se ajustan las persianas horizontales de forma manual, puede suceder que la unidad falle posteriormente al querer manejarla con el control remoto.
OPERACION ENFRIAMIENTO MAXIMO El ventilador de la unidad funciona a alta velocidad extra con un ajuste de temperatura de 59 °F. Presione el botón MAX COOL durante el 1 modo de enfriamiento. OPERACION REFRESCAR La operación REFRESCAR reduce los olores de la ropa con iones Plasmacluster.
