REPLACING THE WASTE TONER BOX
This section explains the procedure for replacing the waste toner box.
The waste toner box collects any excess toner that occurs during printing. When the waste toner box becomes full, the
message "Replace waste toner box." will appear.
When this message appears, prepare a new waste toner box and replace. Once this message appears, printing is not
possible until the waste toner box is replaced.
To close this screen, press any key.

Open the front cover.

Pull out the waste toner box. Gently
pull out the toner cartridge
horizontally.
Tip the waste toner box forward and down, and slowly pull
up.

Place the waste toner box on a flat surface.
Spread newspaper on the surface before placing the waste toner box.
• Do not tilt the part with the hole down, as waste toner will spill out.
• Do not discard the waste toner box. Place it in a plastic bag and store. Your service technician will collect the waste
toner box the next time he comes for maintenance.
Replace waste toner box.
