Exceeding the line will cause a paper misfeed. • If the paper is not fanned, double-feeds or misfeeds may occur. • Make sure the stack of paper is straight before loading it.

For the image loss, see the "SPECIFICATIONS" (p.82). Open the original cover/RSPF, and place the original face down on the document glass.
