SENDING AN IMAGE IN USB
MEMORY MODE
SENDING AN IMAGE IN USB MEMORY MODE
When you are using the network expansion kit or the AR-6020N/AR-6023N/AR-6026N/AR-6031N, you can send an
image in USB memory mode. Store the scan settings in a SCAN MENU key in advance, and then connect a USB
memory device to the machine to scan an image into the USB memory.
For the scan settings that can be stored in a SCAN MENU key, refer to "USB MEMORY MODE SETTINGS" (p.82).

Connect the USB memory device to
the USB connector on the machine.

Press the [SCAN] key ( ).
The scanner mode
selection indicator lights
up and the machine
enters scanner mode.

Place the original on the document
glass or in the RSPF.

Press the [SCAN MENU] key that has
the settings you want to use.
"USb" appears in the number of copies display,
and the number of the pressed [SCAN MENU]
key appears in the ratio display.
For the settings assigned to each key, refer to
"USB MEMORY MODE SETTINGS" (p.82).

Press the [START] key ( ).
The original is scanned and the image data is
saved in the USB memory device.

Remove the USB memory device from
the machine.
USB MEMORY MODE SETTINGS
This section explains how to store settings for USB Memory Mode in a SCAN MENU key.
Resolution, color mode, and image format settings
The resolution, color mode, and image format can be set in the machine's Web page.
Access the machine's Web page with administrator rights, and configure the settings.

Enter the IP address of the machine in
your Web browser to access the Web
page.

Click "Administrator mode", and then
open the administrator’s Web screen.
For the administrator’s account and password,
see the Start Guide.

Click "USB memory Scan setup" in
"Image Send Management".
The settings appear.

Click one of [USB1] to [USB6], and set
the resolution, color mode, and
format.
[USB1] to [USB6] correspond to each of the scan
menu key numbers. For example, select [USB1]
to store settings in [SCAN MENU] key "1".

When you have finished storing
settings, click the [Submit] key.
The settings are saved. Close your Web browser.
