Scan to E-mail
The AR-M237/M277 IMAGER’s advanced Scan to E-mail
function allows users to send documents to any e-mail
address with the touch of a few buttons. Additionally,
you can enter a unique filename for the scanned
document, as well as select the sender and enter
information into the subject fields. When the recipient
receives the e-mail, these fields reference specific
information about the attached document.
Scan to Desktop
Scan documents directly to your desktop computer for
storing, archiving, editing or routing. The network scanning
option includes Sharpdesk
TM
Document Management
software, which provides users with comprehensive,
easy-to-use tools to edit and manage scanned documents.
Scan to FTP
Scan directly to an FTP server for special applications such
as corporate-wide posting or archiving.
Scan to URL
Eliminate sending large files over the Internet by sending
e-mail recipients a link to a scanned document instead.
Scan to URL scans the document directly to an FTP site and
generates a live link for your recipient. This is also good for
sending documents to large groups.

with Optional Network Scanning
With the Network Scanning Kit, the AR-M237/M277 IMAGERs
become powerful document distribution systems with features
that include Scan to E-mail, Scan to Desktop, Scan to FTP, and
Scan to URL. For optimum compatibility, scanned documents can
be saved in today’s most widely used file formats including PDF
and TIFF.
For security-conscious environments, the Sharp AR-M237/M277
IMAGERs also support User Authentication, giving you the ability
to restrict network scan access to authorized users only.
Intelligent Application Integration
To help you manage your workflow, Sharp’s optional
Application Integration Module allows you to add information
fields to your scanned documents, thereby automating tasks that
once took several steps. This information is passed along with
your document to an integrated application, enabling you to
initiate your workflow right from the AR-M237/M277 IMAGERs
touch-screen control panel.
Built-in LDAP Support
If you don’t know a recipient’s address, the built-in LDAP feature
(Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) makes it easy to locate.
Just enter the first few characters of the recipient’s name, and
select from an available list.
