If you used a rapid dialing or Speed Dial number in Step 3 that has an F-code (sub-address
and passcode) programmed, the programmed sub-address and passcode will respectively
appear in steps 4 and 5. If each is correct, press the OK key and proceed to the next step.
F-code Memory Polling
This function transmits a document previously scanned into an F-code memory polling box to a
receiving machine when that machine calls and polls your machine. This is called F-code memory
polling.

Use the key operator program to program an F-code memory polling box. (See page 167)
F-code memory polling boxes
When another machine calls and polls your machine by F-code polling, transmission is permitted if the
F-code (sub-address and passcode) specified by the other machine matches the F-code (sub-address
and passcode) programmed in your machine's F-code memory polling box.

Up to 10 F-code polling boxes can be programmed.
●
A name (up to 36 characters long) can be assigned to each box.
●
F-code memory polling boxes are programmed using the key operator program. (See page 167)
Scanning an original into an F-code memory polling box
Place the original on the platen glass or in the SPF, adjust the original size, resolution, and exposure
settings as needed, and then follow the steps below.

In Fax mode, press the SPECIAL FUNCTION key.

Press the or key to select "ORIGINAL STORE" and then press
the OK key.

Press the or key to select "S.A.M-POLL ORIG" and then press
the OK key.
