Polling
Restricting Polling to Specified Machines (Polling Security)
This function restricts polling to specified machines. Numbers are stored in the polling machine and
your machine, and if the numbers match, the other machine is allowed to poll your machine. For
information on storing the numbers, refer to page 162.
The polling security function can also be turned off. In this case, any machine can poll your machine. To
turn off polling security, refer to page 162.
There are two methods for implementing polling security. If the numbers match using either of the two
methods, polling is allowed.

the polling passcode numbers of the sending machine
