Relay Request Transmission

RELAY REQUEST TRANSMISSION
Like Broadcast transmission (See page 70), this function is used to send a fax to multiple destinations.
Whereas the Broadcast function requires that the sending machine send the fax directly to each
destination, the Relay Request function allows the fax to be sent to the memory of a relay fax machine,
after which the relay machine sends the fax to each of the destinations. This function is convenient
when sending the same fax to a group of distant destinations. You can also program a relay ID code in
your machine to enable it to receive a relay request.
This function can only be used when the relay machine is a Sharp machine that supports the relay
broadcast function. Ask the operator of the machine that you wish to use as a relay machine if a relay
request is possible.
To make a relay request, your fax number (as programmed in your machine) must be stored as a
relay ID code in the relay machine. If your machine is going to receive a relay request and act as a
relay machine, you must store the fax number of the requesting machine (as programmed in that
machine) as a relay ID code in your machine. (See page 164)
