Entering Characters

Character Entry Keys
To enter characters, use the character entry keys on the operation panel. The characters entered by
each key and key functions are as follows.

When you wish to enter characters assigned to the same key in succession, press the key
after entering the first character to move the cursor and then enter the next character.
Example: Entering XY
Press the XYZ key once, press the key once to move the cursor, and then press the XYZ
key twice.

Numeric
CLEAR ( )
Used to enter special characters.
Used to toggle between upper case
and lower case letters.
Use to enter symbols.
Used to enter a space or a hyphen (-).
The display toggles between a space
and a hyphen each time you press the
key.
Used to enter numbers 1 through 0.
Clears the character selected with the
cursor.
Use to move the cursor vertically and
horizontally. Also used to move
through screen pages.
If you press the key when a
character is not entered, a space will
be entered.
