Receiving a Fax

Press the START key.
●
Reception begins when the sending party initiates transmission.
●
If an original is placed on the platen glass or in the SPF, fax transmission will begin.

When reception ends, the machine makes a beep sound.
●
The received fax is output to the center tray.
In Copy mode
To receive a fax manually in Copy mode, you must use an extension phone. (See page 111)

Lift the extension phone.

Press the JOB STATUS key. Select "MANUAL RECEIVING" with the
or key and then press the OK key.

When reception ends, the machine makes a beep sound.

After copy operation ends, the received fax is output to the center tray.

In Copy mode, you can also receive faxes manually by the same method as for Fax mode. To
do so, end the copy operation, press the FAX key, and then receive the fax using the Fax mode
procedure.
