Sending a Fax
Sending a Fax from the Platen Glass
The platen glass can be used to transmit books, transparencies, and other special originals that cannot
be loaded in the SPF.

Place the original on the platen glass. (See page 22)

Make sure that no originals remain in the SPF.

Place the original face down. If you are sending multiple pages, place the pages one at a
time beginning from the first page.
●
Check and adjust the original size, resolution, and exposure settings as necessary.

Enter the fax number with the numeric keys and then press the START
key.

If you make a mistake, press the CLEAR key to clear the incorrect digit and then enter
the correct digit.
●
The original is scanned into memory.

After the original is scanned, change pages and then press the START
key if you have another page to scan.
●
Repeat this step until all pages have been scanned into memory.

When the final page has been scanned, press the # key.
●
The receiving machine is automatically dialed and transmission begins.

To cancel scanning, press the CLEAR key and then cancel the job in the transmission job
screen. (See page 37)
