Enter a 2-digit number from 01 to 10 with the numeric keys to identify the
passcode that will be entered in the next step, and then press the OK key.

If you made a mistake, move the cursor to the mistake with the keys and enter the
correct number.

Enter the passcode (up to 20 digits) with the numeric keys and then press the OK key.

If you make a mistake, press the CLEAR key and then re-enter the correct number.

To store another passcode, repeat steps 5 and 6.

Press the BACK key.

To clear a passcode, follow these steps:
(1) Select "DELETE" in step 4 and then press the OK key.
(2)
Enter the 2-digit number that identifies the passcode you wish to clear, and then press the OK key.
(3) Press the or key to select "DELETE" and then press the OK key.
ID Number Mode
In addition to passcodes (fax numbers), you can also use ID numbers as a means of allowing polling when
polling security is turned on. ID numbers can only be used when the other machine is also a Sharp machine
(not all Sharp models support ID numbers). For polling to take place, one of the ID numbers that are stored in
your machine must be the same as the System number that is stored in the other machine. Up to 10 ID
numbers can be stored. Stored ID numbers can be checked in the "Passcode List". (See page 126)

Follow steps 1 through 4 of the initial procedure. (See page 143)

Press the or key to select "SPECIAL FUNCTION" and then press the OK key.

Press the or key to select "ID # MODE" and then press the OK key.

Press the or key to select "NEW REGISTRATION" and then press the OK key.

Enter a 2-digit number from 01 to 10 with the numeric keys to identify the
ID number that will be entered in the next step, and then press the OK key.

Enter the ID number (0000 to 9999) with the numeric keys and then press the OK key.

To store another ID number, repeat steps 5 and 6.
