Using Key Operator Programs
Auto Reduce Transmission
This setting is used to select whether a transmitted document image is reduced to fit the size of the paper
in the receiving machine. If the setting is turned on, the image is reduced as needed. If the setting is
turned off, the image will always be transmitted at full size, and the printed image may be clipped if the
paper in the receiving machine is not large enough. When the setting is turned on and the image is
reduced, it may lose a slight amount of clarity. The setting is initially turned on.

Follow steps 1 through 4 of the initial procedure. (See page 143)

Press the or key to select "SENDING FUNCTION" and then press the OK key.

Press the or key to select "AUTO REDUCE TX" and then press the OK key.

The setting is turned on and a checkmark appears in the checkbox in the message
screen.
●
If this procedure is performed when the setting is turned on, the checkmark is cleared
and the setting turns off.
Rotate Transmission
This setting is used to have an original that is loaded vertically rotated to a horizontal orientation (or vice-
versa) when transmitted. The original is rotated counter clockwise. Rotation is initially turned on for each
original size.

Press the or key to select "SENDING FUNCTION" and then press the OK key.

Press the or key to select "ROTATE TX" and then press the OK key.

Select the original size that you wish to have rotated and press the OK key.

Size selections are 8-1/2" x 11" and A4.

The setting is turned on and a checkmark appears in the checkbox in the message
screen.
●
If this procedure is performed when the setting is turned on, the checkmark is cleared
and the setting turns off.

To turn on the setting for another size, repeat step 4.
Page Counter
This setting is used to select whether page numbers are printed at the top of transmitted fax pages. The
setting is initially turned on (page numbers are printed).
