Using Key Operator Programs
Account Control
This setting is used to turn on Department Code Mode. Department Code Mode is initially turned off.
When the mode is turned on, the operator must enter a department code (5-digit ID code) in order to use
the fax feature of the machine. This function also tracks fax communication time and fax pages for each
department.

Follow steps 1 through 4 of the initial procedure. (See page 143)

Press the or key to select "INITIAL SETTING" and then press the OK key.

Press the or key to select "ACCOUNT CONTROL" and then press the OK key.
The setting is turned on and a checkmark appears in the checkbox in the message
screen.
If this procedure is performed when the setting is turned on, the checkmark is cleared
and the setting turns off.
Account # Set
Use this setting to store department codes for Department Code Mode. Codes can be stored for as many
as 20 departments.
Storing a new department code

Follow steps 1 through 4 of the initial procedure. (See page 143)

Press the or key to select "INITIAL SETTING" and then press the OK key.

Press the or key to select "ACCOUNT # SET" and then press the OK key.

Press the or key to select "ENTER" and then press the OK key.

Enter a department code (00001 to 99999) with the numeric keys and
then press the OK key.
If you make a mistake, press the CLEAR key and then re-enter the correct number.

Enter a department name (up to 36 characters) and then press the OK key.
To enter characters, see "ENTERING CHARACTERS" on page 63.
Clearing department codes by department

In step 4 of "Storing a department code", select "DELETE" and then press the OK key.

Press the or key to select "DELETE 1 ACC." and then press the OK key.
