The received image is
very distorted.
Did thunder disrupt line
conditions?
Try sending the fax
again.
The transmitted image
has white or black lines.
Is the platen glass dirty?
Is the rear side of the
SPF or the document
cover dirty?
Clean the platen glass,
rear side of the SPF,
and the document
cover.
Copier manual
"CLEANING THE
PLATEN GLASS AND
PLATEN COVER"
Polling reception is not
possible.
Is the paper tray empty? Add paper. Copier manual

Is the other machine set
to automatic reception?
Ask the operator of the
receiving machine.
Is the original loaded in
the other machine? If
the other machine uses
memory polling, was
the original scanned
into memory for polling?
If the other machine is
using polling security,
has your sender's fax
number been
programmed in the
other machine?
The line is difficult to
hear when using the
speaker.
Is the speaker volume
set to "low"?
Set the speaker volume
to "middle" or "high".

ring.
Has the ringer been
turned off?
Set the ringer volume to
"low", "middle", or
"high".
