Transmission Message

TRANSMISSION MESSAGE
This function automatically adds a page with a message at the top to a fax transmission.
If used together with the cover sheet function (See previous page), the message is printed at the top of
the cover sheet.
●
Select this function before each transmission. The selection is only effective for one transmission.
●
If "NO MESSAGE" is selected for the message, a message is not printed.
Selecting a Transmission Message
Follow these steps each time you wish to include a message with a transmission.

In Fax mode, press the SPECIAL FUNCTION key.

Press the or key to select "SENDING MENU" and then press the
OK key.

Press the or key to select a transmission message and then
press the OK key.

You can select "CONFIDENTIAL", "PLEASE DISTRIBUTE", "URGENT", "PLEASE CALL
BACK", or "IMPORTANT".
●
If you do not wish to add a message, select "NO MESSAGE".
●
You can also press the or key to print the message on an 8-1/2" x 11" cover sheet.

Perform the message selection procedure each time you wish to include a message.
After one transmission, the message function automatically turns off.
Note
●
To cancel a message selection, press the key instead of the OK key in step 2. Note that if
the cover sheet function has also been selected, this will also cancel the cover sheet selection.
